In the week of the 16th October, three exploratory boreholes with seismic measurements are drilled to test the properties of the near-surface geological layers (loose sediments).
To perform these seismic measurements, a weight is dropped on the surface to create vibrations, which are recorded using geophones installed at varying depths in the boreholes.
These boreholes were located near the “Kayler Poteau”, close to the N3, and at the foot of Mont St. Jean in Dudelange-Budersberg. Due to their shallow depth and the large distance kept to all buildings, any influence on those can be excluded.
